Cage Manager, Baseball and Basketball Instructor
Wes is an Augusta County PE teacher an assistant coach for Stuarts Draft High School basketball and baseball teams. He graduated from Stuarts Draft High School in 2006. While attending Bluefield College he continued his baseball career and graduated from Radford University. In 2011 he batted .354 at the Arizona Winter League and was starting catcher. He then played independent professional baseball for the Rio Grande Valley White Wings. Wes has also played for the 4 time RCBL Champions Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks. Wes brings with him clout, respect, and vast knowledge to the weight room and coaching for catching, hitting, pitching and fielding and is an invaluable asset to the new management in what was known as the Home Run Club.
Jeremy was a 3 year starter for Stuarts Draft High School Baseball and graduated in 2009. He continued his baseball career as a 2 year starting pitcher for Patrick Henry Community College. There he was a 2 time Junior College Region X Pitcher of the Year and 2 Time All American. In 2010, he was a 38th Round Draft Pick for the Chicago Cubs. In 2012, he was Pitcher of the Year at Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was also part of the 2012 NAIA World Series Champion. In that same year he was a 21st Round Draft Pick of the Atlanta Braves where he remained in their A system for 2 years. Currently he is JV Baseball Coach at Stuarts Draft High School. Jeremy brings his professional baseball pitching experience and coaching to South River Rehabilitation and Performance to improve the performance of our local pitchers and help keep them injury free.
Baseball and Softball Instructor
Ryan graduated from Stuarts Draft High School where he was a 4-year varsity starter and all state pitcher and first baseman. At Ferrum College, he was all conference at two positions while majoring in environmental science and going on to earn his masters degree in environmental engineering from Virginia Tech. Ryan was an all star in the Valley Baseball League for the Waynesboro Generals and won a Coastal Plain League championship with the Thomasville HiToms. Today he continues to play for the Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks in the Rockingham County Baseball League while teaching science at East Rockingham High School. In his 13-year RCBL career, he has been named Rookie of the Year and MVP twice. His baseball coaching experience spans over 8 years from player to high school instruction. Ryan will be teaching pitching, hitting, and fielding lessons for the area youth up to the college level.
Chris is a 2010 Stuarts Draft High School graduate. During high school, he was a three sport athlete on the baseball, football, and wrestling teams. Both during and after college he pitched for the Stuarts Draft Diamondbacks for six seasons winning four RCBL championships. Although he has retired from the Diamondbacks, he is continuing his career in baseball as an assistant coach for the varsity baseball team at Stuarts Draft High School.
Chris is a prime example of shoulder injury, rehab, and return to play. He knows what led to his injury and what is the proper way to avoid injuries in throwers.
